In the final version of Grunge, you divide up your time between the neighborhood of Copper Junction and Nina Simone Senior High School. 

While most of the high school characters have been finished, I realized that the neighborhood was going to seem pretty... well, bland and strange. In neighborhoods, you find a lot of kids! But RPG MakerMV doesn't have a lot of assets for kids, so I had to spend some time creating my own to populate the neighborhood with. 

Some of the hair assets were made by Jack Saintsworth--which, by the way, check out his stuff, it's beautiful and has been instrumental in the game's design.  While his original pack includes male/female, it doesn't have any kids, so I had to spend some time essentially cutting and pasting the hairstyles over these kids, haha. 

Other hairstyles were hand drawn by me. I'm fairly new to pixel art, so of course these don't look nearly as polished as Jack's designs. 

The boy with the blue overalls in the top row is Javier, or Javi. The little girl at the end of the top row won't be around towards the end of the game. :-)
