Organizing The Narrative
Decided to work less on the art this weekend and more on the story!
Was watching a YouTube tutorial this morning by Yanfly and they recommended using Twine to keep track of the narrative. An idea so brilliant, I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Like, duh.
I've tried so many times to keep track of scripts for Grunge but the linear format of traditional screenwriting doesn't really let me think of where one conversation could lead to another event, or establish that there are multiple dialogue options to explore within a single conversation.
I'm super grateful I stumbled across that video by them, and I think that some of their custom engines might work well for Grunge too!
So I'm going back through the game, copying over the Chapter One dialogue, editing it, and keeping a template of it.
