Hello everyone! 

Happy to announce the development of Roses, an RPG focusing on Brandy and Candace's relationship after they endure a terrifying experience. This is another free game which will be submitted for the 2019 Yuri Jam. 

Roses will be a smaller game than Grunge, and different in terms of it's gameplay aspects. There is no combat, quests, or puzzles to solve. It's essentially an interactive fiction story pivoting around this one particular time in their relationship. Roses does not center around themes of mental health as did the first game, but still has other mature themes and content. 

While Roses will use a lot of the same assets from the original game, new expressions and outfits will be added for the characters. The environments and tilesets will be new as well. 

So far development-wise, the script has been completed as well as the maps. Essentially I just have to work on the art, and programming everything in... and given that this game is less complicated to pull off than Grunge, I imagine that it won't take me nearly as long. We can hope, right? 

Additionally, I am planning to release an artbook for Grunge soon. It will include artwork that didn't make it into the final game, as well as artwork of other characters, and also, fiction pieces! There were a lot of things that I had to cut from the final game due to time constraints, and some characters' stories that I wanted to expand upon. I have not yet started development on the artbook, but it should be released sometime in 2020, and I am planning to sell the artbook for $10. You'll be able to purchase it right from this site.
